Very Warm Temperatures Are Expected On Wednesday & Thursday Across Western & Central Mass

For This Afternoon & Tonight: The sunny skies that we’ve had this morning will transition into a mixture of sunshine and clouds during this afternoon. Temperatures will reach 70 Degrees during this afternoon. Winds will be West to Southwest at 10 to 15 mph.

Skies will start out with lots of clouds early this evening, but will quickly become clear after sunset. Clear skies are then expected during the after midnight hours of tonight. Low temperatures will be between 45 and 50 Degrees. Winds will be West to Northwest at 10 to 15 mph.

Tuesday & Tuesday Night: Lots of sunshine can be expected throughout the day on Tuesday with high temperatures between 75 and 80 Degrees. Winds will be North to Northwest at 5 to 10 mph in the morning and West at 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.

Clear skies are expected on Tuesday night with low temperatures near 55 Degrees. Winds will be West at 5 to 10 mph.

Wednesday & Thursday: A ridge of high pressure will help to draw in some very warm temperatures for Wednesday and especially for Thursday.

Wednesday looks sunny with high temperatures between 82 and 87 Degrees. Winds will be Southwest at 5 to 10 mph.

Partly cloudy skies are expected on Wednesday night with low temperatures between 60 and 65 Degrees.

Thursday looks to be a partly sunny, very warm and humid day. In addition to this, a cold front is expected to be pushing eastward from the eastern Great Lakes region. This front should reach far western parts of New England by late in the day. This means that some scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible during the late afternoon and evening hours. Given that any thunderstorms will be developing in a very warm and humid air mass, some of the thunderstorms could be on the strong side & is something that’ll be watched. High temperatures Thursday will be between 85 and 90 Degrees.

Friday: A secondary frontal system looks to push through the region during Friday afternoon and Friday night. How quickly this front moves through is going to be hugely important in determining whether we see yet another wet Saturday or not or if we actually find ourselves with a dry weekend.

As for Friday, it looks like it’ll be a partly sunny, warm and humid day. Scattered showers and thunderstorms look likely during Friday afternoon and some of the thunderstorms might be on the strong side. High temperatures will be between 80 and 85 Degrees.

This Weekend: As I already mentioned, how quick that frontal system moves through is going to be extremely important in determining what the weather will be like this weekend. Unfortunately, weather forecast guidance seems to be pointing towards the possibility of the front not clearing the area until Saturday night. If that happens, then we’d be looking at yet another wet Saturday (trust me when I say that I’m extremely tired of the almost constant rainy weekends we’ve had since mid and late March).

For now, unfortunately, I’m going with a cloudy day on Saturday with widespread showers and scattered thunderstorms around. High temperatures will be near 75 Degrees.

Sunday looks cloudy with high temperatures between 70 and 75 Degrees.
