Very Hot & Very Humid Weather Expected On Thursday Across Western & Central Mass

For The Rest Of This Afternoon: An area of high pressure will control the weather throughout the rest of this afternoon. This means that skies will be sunny with temperatures around 85 Degrees. Winds will be Southwest at 5 to 10 mph. Tonight: The humidity will be on the increase tonight under clear to partly cloudy skies. Low temperatures will be near 65 Degrees. Winds will be Southwest at around 5 mph. Thursday: A very hot and very humid day is expected on Thursday with lots of sunshine expected. High temperatures will be between 95 and 100 Degrees. Heat index readings of near 105 Degrees are expected due to the combination of very hot and very humid conditions (Dew point temperatures will be between 70 and 75 Degrees). Friday: The hot and very humid weather is expected to continue through Friday. It’s actually possible that the heat index readings could be a little higher on Friday than on Thursday due to more humid conditions with dew point temperatures expected to be close to 75 Degrees at times. Skies on Friday will be partly sunny with high temperatures between 90 and 95 Degrees with heat index readings of 105 to 109 Degrees possible. Winds will be Southwest at 5 to 10 mph. Finally, it’s possible that there could be some isolated to perhaps scattered showers and thunderstorms during the very late afternoon and evening hours as a weak frontal system pushes into Southern New England. Any thunderstorms look to be non severe in nature with the main threat being locally heavy downpours. This Weekend: An area of high pressure located off of the East Coast of the United States will produce a southwesterly wind flow across our area throughout this weekend. This means that hot and humid weather is likely throughout this weekend with heat index readings of 100-plus degrees expected on both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday looks partly sunny and there may be some scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms. It will be hot and humid with high temperatures near 90 Degrees. Sunday also looks partly sunny with hot and humid conditions. In addition, there could be some scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms around. High temperatures will be near 90 Degrees. Early To Middle Part Of Next Week: Hot and humid weather is expected to continue on Monday with partly sunny skies expected. Some scattered showers and thunderstorms look likely during the afternoon and evening as a frontal system pushes southeastward into our area. High temperatures will be around 90 Degrees with heat index readings of 100 to 105 Degrees. Some relief finally arrives for Tuesday and next Wednesday with lower temperatures and a little less humidity. That frontal boundary that pushes into the area for Monday may stall out through Tuesday and Wednesday. If, and that’s a big if, this occurs, it could mean some very beneficial rainfall across the region. Tuesday looks cloudy and there may be at least scattered, if not widespread showers and possible thunderstorms, especially during the afternoon. High temperatures will be near 80 Degrees. Next Wednesday looks like there may be a mixture of sunshine and clouds and there could be some leftover shower activity around. High temperatures will be near 80 Degrees.
