Tonight: Skies this evening will become cloudy as a warm front begins to approach the region from the southwest. Precipitation in the form of freezing rain and sleet is expected to overspread the Berkshires and the northern Worcester Hills between 1 am and 3 am tonight and then continue through sunrise Thursday morning. Elsewhere across the rest of Western and Central Mass, rain is expected to begin between 1 am and 3 am tonight and then continue through sunrise Thursday morning. Temperatures tonight are expected to range from near 30 Degrees in the Berkshires and the northern Worcester Hills to near 35 Degrees elsewhere across the region. Winds tonight will be southeast at 7 to 15 mph. Thursday: That warm front will push as far north as about the south coast of New England during the day on Thursday. It appears that freezing rain and sleet may continue across the Berkshires and the northern Worcester Hills during Thursday morning before it changes to rain by midday. Elsewhere across the region, rain is expected throughout Thursday morning. Turning to Thursday afternoon, on and off rain is expected throughout the afternoon across the entire area. High temperatures Thursday will be between 40 and 45 Degrees. Winds on Thursday will be east at 10 to 20 mph. Thursday Night: On and off rain is expected to continue through a large part of Thursday night. Temperatures on Thursday night will hold steady between 40 and 45 Degrees. Winds on Thursday night will be north at 7 to 15 mph. Friday: Rain will end by or just before sunrise Friday morning with dry weather expected throughout the day Friday under a mixture of sunshine and clouds. High temperatures Friday will be between 55 and 60 Degrees. Winds on Friday will be west at 8 to 16 mph. This Weekend: Saturday looks like it’ll feature a mixture of some sunshine and lots of clouds with scattered afternoon rain showers expected. High temperatures Saturday will be between 50 and 55 Degrees. Sunday also looks like it’ll feature a mixture of sun and clouds with the possibility of an isolated afternoon rain shower or two. High temperatures Sunday will be near 45 Degrees. Monday & Tuesday: A cold, but dry northwesterly wind flow will be in place for early next week. Monday is expected to be partly sunny and windy with high temperatures near 40 Degrees. Tuesday looks sunny to partly sunny with high temperatures between 40 and 45 Degrees.
