For The Rest Of This Afternoon: A mixture of sunshine and clouds can be expected throughout the rest of this afternoon. Temperatures will be between 65 and 70 Degrees. Winds will be East to Southeast at 5 to 10 mph.
Tonight: Cloudy skies are expected throughout tonight. Low temperatures will be near 55 Degrees. Winds will be East to Southeast at 5 to 10 mph.
Monday: Cloudy skies early in the morning will give way to a mixture of sunshine and clouds throughout the rest of the day. High temperatures will be between 70 and 75 Degrees. Winds will be East to Southeast at 5 to 10 mph.
Tuesday Through Wednesday: A warm front is expected to push through the region during Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
Out ahead of this warm front, cloudy skies can be expected throughout the day on Tuesday. Some scattered showers are possible across mostly Western Mass during the afternoon. Central parts of Mass may stay dry all day long Tuesday. High temperatures will be between 70 and 75 Degrees. Winds will be South to Southeast at 5 to 10 mph.
Tuesday night looks cloudy and there will be some scattered showers around. Most of the shower activity looks to occur across Western Mass as well as across northern parts of Worcester County. Low temperatures will be between 55 and 60 Degrees. Winds will be South to Southwest at 5 to 10 mph.
Some leftover scattered showers are possible across the entire area during Wednesday morning. Skies then look to become partly sunny during Wednesday afternoon. It is also expected to become humid on Wednesday as a much warmer air mass pushes into the region. High temperatures will be near 80 Degrees.
Strong To Severe Thunderstorms Possible Thursday Afternoon Into Thursday Evening: A very warm and humid day is expected on Thursday under partly sunny skies.
A cold front is expected to approach the region during the afternoon and evening hours. The very warm and humid air mass is likely to produce some very unstable atmospheric conditions. The combination of the very unstable air mass and the forcing and energy from the approaching cold front likely will help to produce strong to severe thunderstorms across the area during Thursday afternoon and Thursday evening.
I think that we’ll see scattered thunderstorms affect the entire area from about mid-afternoon Thursday through late Thursday afternoon and Thursday evening. Some of the thunderstorms are probably going to be strong to severe. Any strong or severe thunderstorms may be capable of producing wind gusts of up to 50-70 mph, up to penny size hail, torrential downpours and frequent lightning.
The severe weather threat for Thursday afternoon and Thursday evening is something that’ll need to be watched very closely. I will have updates as needed.
High temperatures will be between 85 and 90 Degrees.
Friday Through Next Weekend: Less humid air will push into the area on Friday as that cold front moves to the east. Also, it is looking increasingly more likely that next weekend may be completely dry with no rain at all.
Friday looks to feature a mixture of sunshine and clouds with high temperatures near 80 Degrees.
Saturday and next Sunday both look partly sunny. High temperatures both days next weekend are expected to be near 80 Degrees.
