For The Rest Of This Afternoon: An area of high pressure will be in control of the weather throughout the rest of this afternoon.
Generally partly sunny skies can be expected throughout the rest of this afternoon. Temperatures will be near 45 Degrees. Winds will be Northeast at 5 mph or less.
Tonight: Clear skies can be expected throughout tonight. Low temperatures will be near 25 Degrees. Winds will be West to Southwest at 5 mph or less.
Friday: That high pressure system will begin to move to our east during the day on Friday.
Skies will start out sunny to partly sunny during the morning. I then expect skies to cloud up during the afternoon as a low pressure system moves towards our area from the lower Ohio Valley.
High temperatures will be between 45 and 50 Degrees. Winds will be Southwest at 7 to 14 mph.
Friday Night & Saturday: It appears that an area of low pressure will track across the Mid-Atlantic states during Friday night and then move to the south of New England during Saturday morning.
Cloudy skies are expected throughout Friday night. There may be some isolated showers across far southern parts of Worcester County during the after midnight hours. Other than that, it appears that most of the area should stay dry. Low temperatures will be between 35 and 40 Degrees. Winds will be West to Southwest at 5 to 10 mph.
Saturday looks cloudy during the morning and there may be some isolated showers across far southern parts of Worcester County. Increasing sunshine is then expected during the afternoon. High temperatures will be between 40 and 45 Degrees. Winds will be North to Northwest at 10 to 15 mph.
Sunday: Partly sunny skies are expected throughout Sunday with high temperatures between 40 and 45 Degrees.
Thanksgiving Outlook: While the first part of next week looks dry, it appears that the weather pattern will shift towards a more unsettled one as we near Thanksgiving. This means that travel on Wednesday and Thanksgiving Day could be wet across the entire area as an area of low pressure crosses the region bringing on and off rain.
Looking even further ahead, next Friday looks dry, however, things might become a little more active around next Saturday and next Sunday. There have been some subtle signals in the data that suggest a storm system could affect the area & with cold air in place, we might have to watch for some sort of snow chances across the region.
For now, I’m going with the possibility of snow showers next Saturday and improving weather for next Sunday. I want to caution you that this is a 9 to 10 day forecast and a lot can and probably will change between now and then.
