Some Snow Showers Are Possible This Evening Across Western & Central Mass

For Tonight: A robust upper level weather disturbance is expected to cross the region this evening. Skies tonight will be cloudy and there’s likely to be some scattered snow showers around throughout this evening, beginning around 9-10 pm or so and lasting until about 1-2 am or so. Any snow accumulations with the snow showers will be quite light with at most around one half of an inch of snow possible. Low temperatures tonight will be between 30 and 35 Degrees. Winds will be South at 5 to 10 mph this evening and West at 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph after midnight. Tuesday: That weather disturbance will push to the east as an area of high pressure begins to build into the region. This means that any lingering early morning clouds will give way to lots of sunshine throughout the day on Tuesday. High temperatures will be between 45 and 50 Degrees. Winds will be Northwest at 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph. Wednesday: Some clouds with the chance for a scattered rain shower or two is expected during the morning. During the afternoon, expect partly sunny skies. High temperatures Wednesday will be between 50 and 55 Degrees. Winds will be South at 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 35 mph. Thursday Through Friday: A strengthening low pressure system is expected to track into the Great Lakes region during Thursday before heading into Ontario and Quebec provinces during Friday. We should see an increase in clouds during the day on Thursday with rain showers overspreading the area by mid to late afternoon. Record high temperatures of 60 to 65 Degrees look likely on Thursday. Scattered rain showers Thursday evening will become much more widespread in coverage well after midnight. The widespread rain shower activity is expected to continue through Friday morning before ending during the afternoon. Low temperatures Thursday night will be a very abnormal 55 Degrees. High temperatures Friday will be between 55 and 60 Degrees, which looks to occur during the morning. Temperatures during Friday afternoon will fall into the 40s, along with some very gusty west winds. Saturday: A sunny to partly sunny and chilly day is expected on Saturday with high temperatures near 35 Degrees. Sunday: A sunny to partly sunny and milder day is expected on Sunday with high temperatures between 45 and 50 Degrees. Presidents’ Day: Generally partly sunny skies are expected with high temperatures between 45 and 50 Degrees.
