Snow Is Expected Late Tonight Through All Day Tuesday Across Western & Central Mass

Snow Is Expected Late Tonight Through All Day Tuesday: An area of low pressure is expected to track just to the east of Nantucket during Tuesday afternoon before heading for Nova Scotia on Tuesday night. This storm system is expected to bring a widespread snowfall to the entire area late tonight through all day Tuesday. This will be a fast moving storm and because of this, snow amounts shouldn’t be excessive.

Snow is expected to overspread the entire area between about 2 am and 4 am Tuesday morning. Snow will then continue through all day Tuesday before coming to an end around sunset Tuesday. It should be noted that the snow looks to change to a bit of freezing rain during Tuesday afternoon across areas, including I-84, I-190, I-290 and Route 146. All other areas of Western and Central Mass should remain as all snow.

I have attached our forecast snowfall map for this upcoming snowfall to this post. Overall, this looks like it’ll be a light and fluffy snowfall due to the very cold air mass that’s located over our area.

Low temperatures will be between 15 and 20 Degrees. High temperatures Tuesday will be near 30 Degrees. Winds tonight will be South at 5 to 10 mph. Winds on Tuesday will be East at 5 to 10 mph in the morning and North at 5 to 10 mph.
