For The Rest Of This Afternoon: Generally cloudy skies are expected throughout the rest of this afternoon and there could be some isolated showers late this afternoon. Temperatures will be near 65 Degrees with humid conditions. Winds will be East at 5 to 10 mph. Tonight & Wednesday: An area of low pressure now located just to the northwest of Bermuda is expected to head northward and pass near the Cape during the day on Wednesday before moving into Maine and Atlantic Canada on Wednesday night. Moisture from this low pressure system is expected to overspread the entire area throughout tonight and Wednesday. This means that another round of scattered showers with some thunderstorm activity will overspread Western and Central Mass by about midnight tonight. The scattered shower and thunderstorm activity is then expected to continue through the late night hours of tonight right through all day Wednesday. Shower activity will then come to an end during Wednesday evening. It will be humid tonight and Wednesday with low temperatures tonight between 55 and 60 Degrees and high temperatures Wednesday near 65 Degrees. Winds tonight will be Northeast at 5 to 10 mph. Winds on Wednesday will be northeast at 5 to 10 mph. Thursday: An area of high pressure will finally build into the area for Thursday. This means that sunshine will return on Thursday with high temperatures between 65 and 70 Degrees. Winds will be Northwest at 10 to 20 mph. Friday Through Sunday: High pressure is expected to be in control of the weather for the entire weekend. Friday, Saturday and Sunday are all expected to feature partly sunny skies with high temperatures all three days between 55 and 60 Degrees. Halloween: The weather for Halloween is expected to hinge on the interaction between a high pressure system over Nova Scotia and a couple of low pressure systems to our southwest. The big question is how quickly will that low pressure system and its associated rainfall move in and will that high pressure center hold off the rain until Tuesday. The weather guidance are not in very good agreement with each other in their forecasts for early next week with some guidance showing an all day rain on Halloween while other guidance forecast no rain until next Tuesday. At this point, I think that skies should start out partly sunny on Monday with skies becoming cloudy by afternoon. Unfortunately, rain may move in by evening with rain then expected for Monday night. Again, the forecast for Halloween is pretty uncertain and I’ll have updates for you as needed. High temperatures will be near 60 Degrees.
