For This Afternoon: Clouds will continue to be on the increase throughout this afternoon as an area of low pressure well to the southeast of Nantucket tracks to the northwest and moves towards the Cape and the Islands.
Temperatures this afternoon will be between 80 and 85 Degrees. Winds will be East at 5 to 10 mph.
Tonight: That low pressure system will continue to track to the northwest and looks to be located near the outer Cape by early Monday morning.
Skies throughout tonight will be cloudy and showers will be on the increase first across Central Mass between 9 pm and midnight and then across Western Mass just after midnight. Showers will then continue across the entire area during the after midnight hours of tonight. In addition, a thunderstorm or two is a possibility during the after midnight hours.
Low temperatures will be between 60 and 65 Degrees. Winds will be Northeast at 5 to 10 mph.
Monday: An unsettled day for weather is expected on Monday as that low pressure system weakens as it heads northward.
Skies throughout the day on Monday will be cloudy and on and off showers are expected to continue throughout the morning. The coverage of showers will decrease during the afternoon, but still a few isolated showers will still be possible.
High temperatures will be between 70 and 75 Degrees. Winds will be North at 5 to 10 mph.
Tuesday: A much more humid southerly wind flow will set up during Tuesday.
This will lead to a mixture of sunshine and clouds throughout the day on Tuesday. In addition, some scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible during the afternoon.
It will be oppressively humid on Tuesday with high temperatures between 80 and 85 Degrees. Winds will be South at 10 to 20 mph.
Wednesday Through Friday: Wednesday looks to be another unsettled day for weather as a piece of atmospheric energy crosses the area producing lots of clouds along with fairly widespread showers and scattered thunderstorms. It will be humid with high temperatures between 75 and 80 Degrees.
A return to hot and oppressively humid weather is expected for Thursday and Friday.
Thursday will be partly sunny with some scattered showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon. High temperatures will be between 85 and 90 Degrees.
Friday looks partly sunny with high temperatures between 85 and 90 Degrees.
Outlook For Next Weekend: Very warm and humid weather is expected to persist through next weekend.
Saturday looks partly sunny and there will be some scattered showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon. High temperatures will be near 85 Degrees.
Next Sunday looks partly sunny and once again there will be some afternoon scattered showers and thunderstorms. High temperatures will be near 85 Degrees.
