For The Rest Of This Afternoon & Tonight: Lots of sunshine is expected throughout the rest of this afternoon. Temperatures will be between 45 and 50 Degrees. Winds will be North at 5 to 10 mph. Skies this evening will be clear with no weather problems for Trick-Or-Treating. Temperatures this evening will fall back into the upper 30s to low 40s with a North to Northeast wind of about 5 mph. Clouds will be on the increase late tonight as a low pressure system moves well to the southeast of our area and a frontal system moves in on the backside of this storm system. Low temperatures tonight will be between 30 and 35 Degrees. Winds will be Northeast at 5 to 10 mph. Wednesday: That low pressure system will remain well southeast of our area during Wednesday as it heads out to sea. Any weather problems on Wednesday looks to come from a frontal boundary moving through on the back side of the low pressure system. Lots of cold air aloft will move in leading to the atmosphere to be unstable by late morning and during the afternoon. This will lead to the development of showers of rain, sleet and snow across the region from late morning into the afternoon hours of Wednesday. Skies during Wednesday will be cloudy throughout the day. Snow showers can be expected during the morning across the Berkshires and the western Hilltowns of Western Mass. Across the Pioneer Valley of Western Mass, scattered rain showers can be expected during the morning. Further east, conditions look mainly dry across Central Mass for much of the morning. Snow accumulations across the Berkshires and the western Hilltowns of Western Mass look to be a dusting to perhaps a half an inch or so. Turning to Wednesday afternoon, a few showers of rain, sleet and snow can be expected across the entire area. Areas that have the greatest chance of seeing snow showers or sleet showers look to be the Worcester Hills and the Berkshires. Overall though, no snow accumulation is expected from any snow or sleet showers. High temperatures Wednesday will be near 40 Degrees. Winds will be North at 5 to 10 mph. Wednesday Night Through Friday: The coldest temperatures thus far season are expected on Wednesday night across the entire area. Clear skies and light winds can be expected on Wednesday night with low temperatures between 25 and 30 Degrees. It should be noted that a widespread hard freeze is expected across the entire area. Thursday is expected to be a sunny to partly sunny day with high temperatures between 45 and 50 Degrees. Winds will be West at 5 to 10 mph. Thursday night looks clear to partly cloudy with another round of frosts and freezes likely. Low temperatures will be between 30 and 35 Degrees. Friday looks sunny to partly sunny with high temperatures near 55 Degrees.
