Isolated Showers Possible This Afternoon & Monday Afternoon Across Western & Central Mass

Colder air aloft combined with some sunshine has led to the atmosphere to become somewhat unstable. This has caused puffy cumulus clouds to form across much of the area as of the time of this writing. In addition, some isolated showers have developed across the Berkshires as well.

The rest of this afternoon is expected to feature a mixture of some sunshine and plenty of puffy cumulus clouds. In addition, some isolated shower activity can be expected. Most areas should stay dry, but a few areas may see a brief shower. Temperatures this afternoon will hover around 60 Degrees. Northwest winds are expected to continue to gust up to 25 mph at times.

Some leftover instability this evening will likely lead to mostly cloudy skies this evening and the possibility of an isolated shower. Skies likely will become partly cloudy late tonight. Low temperatures tonight will be between 40 and 45 Degrees.

Monday should be a very similar day in terms of weather conditions. We probably will start out with sunshine during the morning, but puffy cumulus clouds will build up again by afternoon. Some isolated showers are possible during the afternoon. High temperatures Monday will be near 55 Degrees. Northwest winds are expected to gust up to 25 mph at times.

Partly cloudy skies are expected on Monday night with low temperatures near 40 Degrees.

An area of high pressure will very slowly build into the area during Tuesday into Wednesday.

This means that I think that Tuesday will be partly sunny with high temperatures between 55 and 60 Degrees and Wednesday is expected to be generally sunny with high temperatures near 60 Degrees.

We should be on the western side of that high pressure system on Thursday with a frontal system moving through the area on Friday.

This means that Thursday will feature a mixture of sunshine and clouds with high temperatures between 65 and 70 Degrees. Friday looks generally cloudy and there will be some scattered shower activity, especially during the morning. High temperatures Friday will be near 65 Degrees.

Looking way ahead to next weekend - More clouds than sunshine looks possible for Saturday with plenty of sunshine forecast for next Sunday. In addition, the first widespread frosts and freezes are possible for both Saturday night and Sunday night as low temperatures may get down into the lower 30s both nights. High temperatures Saturday will be between 55 and 60 Degrees. High temperatures next Sunday will be near 55 Degrees.
