Heavy Showers & Thunderstorms Expected Late Thu Night & Fri Morning Across Western & Central Mass

Tonight: A humid night under generally cloudy skies are expected across Western and Central Mass. In addition, some scattered shower activity can be expected from time to time tonight. Low temperatures tonight will be between 65 and 70 Degrees. Thursday: A warm and humid day where it still feels like summer is expected across the entire area on Thursday. Skies on Thursday will be cloudy and there may be a few showers around from time to time. High temperatures Thursday will be between 75 and 80 Degrees. Heavy Showers & Thunderstorms Expected Late Thursday Night Into Friday Morning:A slow moving frontal boundary will march from west to east across the area late Thursday night and Friday morning. Along and ahead of this front, there will be widespread heavy showers and thunderstorms across the area. It currently appears that an area of heavy showers and thunderstorms will push into Western Mass well after midnight Thursday night and then into Central Mass around or just after sunrise Friday morning. These heavy showers and thunderstorms are then expected to continue throughout Friday morning into early Friday afternoon before ending later in the afternoon on Friday. The severe weather threat with these storms looks low, however, any thunderstorms will still probably produce extremely heavy rainfall, some gusty winds and occasional lightning. With the slow movement of the shower and thunderstorm activity, areas of street and highway flooding and poor drainage flooding looks quite possible. Weather Forecast For This Weekend: The weekend weather forecast looks pretty decent with Saturday likely the nicer day of the two. Lots of sunshine is expected on Saturday and it’ll be much less humid with high temperatures between 70 and 75 Degrees. A partly sunny day is expected on Sunday and there may be a stray isolated shower or two possible during the afternoon. High temperatures Sunday will be between 70 and 75 Degrees.
