Heavy Rain Late Tonight Into Thursday Morning Across Western & Central Mass; A Pretty Decent Weekend In Terms Of Weather Looks Likely

Heavy rain with isolated thunderstorms are now pushing northeastward towards our area from southwestern Connecticut and the NYC metro.

It is anticipated that this heavy rain will overspread the area from southwest to northeast very late tonight into the early morning hours of Thursday morning. Areas near and south of the Mass Pike look to see the heavy rain begin about the 2-4 am time frame with areas north of the Mass Pike seeing the heavy rain begin by about the 4-6 am time frame Thursday morning.

Heavy rain with isolated thunderstorms are then expected to continue until about mid-morning Thursday before coming to an end just before midday Thursday.

Rainfall amounts from late tonight into Thursday morning look to range from a quarter to half an inch north of the Mass Pike to one half of an inch to one inch of rainfall near and south of the Mass Pike.

Some breaks of sunshine is possible during Thursday afternoon, however, some very isolated late afternoon and early evening showers and thunderstorms are possible.

Low temperatures tonight will be between 50 and 55 Degrees. High temperatures Thursday will be near 60 Degrees.

Friday: A sunny to partly sunny day is expected on Friday with high temperatures near 70 Degrees.

This Weekend: It still looks like a decent weekend with sunny skies on Saturday and partly sunny skies expected on Sunday. High temperatures Saturday will be near 75 Degrees. High temperatures Sunday will be between 75 and 80 Degrees.
