For This Afternoon: The high pressure system that has brought the region some very comfortable humidity levels the last couple of days will push to the east this afternoon. This will lead to a southwesterly wind flow to develop leading to a little increase in the humidity values this afternoon.
Partly sunny skies are expected throughout this afternoon with temperatures around 80 Degrees. Dew point temperatures will be in the mid to upper 50s. Winds will be Southwest at 6 to 12 mph.
Tonight: Clear to partly cloudy skies are expected with low temperatures around 60 Degrees. Winds will be Southwest at 10 to 15 mph.
Thursday: A very warm and humid day is expected on Thursday under sunny to partly sunny skies. High temperatures will be between 84 and 89 Degrees. Dew point temperatures will be between 60 and 65 Degrees. Winds will be Southwest at 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph.
Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, warm and humid conditions are expected with low temperatures between 65 and 70 Degrees. Winds will be Southwest at 10 to 20 mph.
Friday: A hot and humid day is expected under partly sunny skies. High temperatures will be around 90 Degrees and dew point temperatures will be around 70 Degrees. Winds will be West to Southwest at 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph.
A cold front is expected to move through the area during the late afternoon and evening hours. The unstable air mass associated with the hot and humid conditions will combine with the energy and forcing from the cold front to produce scattered thunderstorms across the area from about mid-afternoon until about early evening. While I think most of the thunderstorm activity will be non-severe, it’s possible that a couple of the storms could be on the strong side and produce up to 40-50 mph wind gusts, frequent lightning and torrential downpours.
To sum it up, I think that we’ll see some scattered thunderstorms starting around mid-afternoon and lasting until early evening. A couple of the thunderstorms may be on the strong side and be capable of producing up to 40-50 mph wind gusts, frequent lightning and torrential downpours.
This Weekend: No weather problems are anticipated for this weekend as a weak high pressure system controls the weather.
Saturday looks partly sunny with high temperatures between 80 and 85 Degrees. Dew point temperatures will be between 60 and 65 Degrees.
Sunday looks partly sunny with high temperatures between 80 and 85 Degrees. Dew point temperatures will be around 60 Degrees.
