For This Afternoon: What an absolutely gorgeous day out there after a crisp night. I ended up with a low temperature last night of 49 Degrees here in Sturbridge. Skies this afternoon will feature lots and lots of sunshine with temperatures near 75 Degrees. Winds will be North at 5 to 10 mph. Tonight: A clear to partly cloudy night is expected for tonight. Low temperatures will be between 55 and 60 Degrees. Winds will be Southwest at 5 to 10 mph. Thursday: The high pressure system which has brought us the really nice weather will push off to the east during Thursday. The high pressure system will still be close enough to bring us a partly sunny day across the region with high temperatures between 75 and 80 Degrees. Winds will be Southwest at 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph. Friday & Friday Night: A frontal system is expected to slowly push into the area during Friday afternoon bringing with it widespread showers and scattered thunderstorms. Skies during the day on Friday will be cloudy and while there may be some isolated showers around during the morning, much more widespread showers with scattered thunderstorms will overspread the entire area by early Friday afternoon. Widespread showers and scattered thunderstorms are then expected to continue throughout all of Friday afternoon and during the first half of Friday night. Locally heavy downpours with the threat for flash flooding will be possible with some of the more robust showers and thunderstorms. All-in-all, it appears that rain totals of 1 to 2 inches look likely during Friday afternoon into Friday night. Showers and thunderstorms come to an end around midnight Friday night with dry air working into the region after midnight. It will be humid on Friday with high temperatures between 70 and 75 Degrees. Low temperatures Friday night will be near 60 Degrees. Winds on Friday will be South at 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph. This Weekend’s Weather: I have good news for the weekend weather as things look nice all weekend long. In addition, temperatures and humidity levels look pretty comfortable all weekend long. Saturday looks sunny to partly sunny with high temperatures between 75 and 80 Degrees. Sunday looks sunny to partly sunny with high temperatures near 80 Degrees.
