Dry Weather Is Expected To Continue Through Friday Across Western & Central Mass

For This Afternoon: Fog and low clouds continue to hang on across parts of the Connecticut River Valley with sunshine occurring across the rest of Western and Central Mass. The clouds and fog will continue to break up across the rest of the Connecticut River Valley this afternoon with temperatures near 70 Degrees. Elsewhere across Western and Central Mass, skies are expected to be partly sunny with temperatures near 75 Degrees. Tonight: Generally cloudy skies are expected tonight with some areas of fog expected late tonight. Low temperatures tonight will be near 55 Degrees. Thursday: Partly sunny skies are expected on Thursday with high temperatures near 75 Degrees. In addition, it is expected to be somewhat humid on Thursday, especially for mid-October. Friday: Even though Friday is expected to be dry, it should be a little more cloudy, especially during the afternoon. Overall, I think that we’ll see partly sunny skies during Friday morning with a mixture of some sun and lots of clouds during Friday afternoon. High temperatures Friday will be between 70 and 75 Degrees. Saturday: A strong cold front will approach the area from the Ohio Valley during the day on Saturday. Skies during the day on Saturday will be cloudy and there is likely to be scattered shower activity during the afternoon. High temperatures Saturday will be between 70 and 75 Degrees. Southwest winds are expected to gust up to 30 mph, especially during the afternoon. Saturday Night: That strong cold front will push across the area during Saturday night bringing with it widespread showers with locally heavy rainfall possible. Southerly winds are likely to be gusty during Saturday night with wind gusts of up to 40 mph possible, especially in the Worcester Hills. Low temperatures Saturday night will be near 50 Degrees. Sunday Through Monday: That frontal system is expected to move to the east with a gusty west-northwest wind flow setting up over Western and Central Mass during Sunday and Monday. Sunday looks like we’ll see a mixture of sunshine and clouds and there may be a pop up shower or two during the afternoon, especially in the Worcester Hills and the Berkshires. High temperatures Sunday will be between 60 and 65 Degrees. West to Northwest winds are expected to gust up to 25 mph at times. Monday looks partly sunny with high temperatures near 60 Degrees. A frost is possible on Monday night in some of the valleys along and north of Route 2. Elsewhere, temperatures should remain just mild enough to prevent any frost formation. Low temperatures Monday night will be between 40 and 45 Degrees south of Route 2 and between 33 and 38 Degrees along and north of Route 2. Skies on Monday night will be clear. Tuesday Through Next Wednesday: High pressure builds back into the area by the middle part of next week with dry and warm weather expected. Tuesday looks sunny with high temperatures between 65 and 70 Degrees. Next Wednesday is expected to be sunny with high temperatures near 70 Degrees.
