For This Afternoon: Cloudy and windy conditions are expected throughout this afternoon as an area of low pressure gradually pushes off of the Mid-Atlantic coast. Temperatures this afternoon will be between 45 and 50 Degrees. Winds this afternoon will be East at 18 to 28 mph with gusts to 40 mph. Tonight & Sunday: An area of low pressure is expected to sit and spin off of the North Carolina and Virginia coasts during tonight and Sunday. The rain associated with that low pressure system will remain to our south, but we will still have cloudy skies throughout tonight and Sunday morning. Skies during Sunday afternoon should become a mixture of sunshine and clouds. Additionally, it is expected to remain windy tonight and Sunday. Low temperatures tonight will be between 35 and 40 Degrees. Winds tonight will be northeast at 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 35 mph. Winds on Sunday will be northeast at 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 35 mph. Monday & Tuesday: An area of high pressure will be positioned across northern New England while that low pressure system will continue to sit and spin off of the North Carolina coast throughout Monday and Tuesday. Monday is expected to be sunny and continued windy with high temperatures between 60 and 65 Degrees. Winds on Monday will be northeast at 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 30 to 35 mph. Tuesday looks sunny and windy with high temperatures between 60 and 65 Degrees. Winds on Tuesday will be northeast at 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph. Wednesday: Partly sunny skies with less wind are expected on Wednesday with high temperatures near 65 Degrees. Thursday & Friday: Summer is expected to make an appearance late next week under sunny to partly sunny skies on both Thursday and Friday. High temperatures Thursday will be between 74 and 79 Degrees. High temperatures Friday will be between 80 and 85 Degrees. Next Weekend: Pull out the shorts and t-shirts because you’ll need them for next weekend. Next Saturday is expected to be sunny with high temperatures between 80 and 85 Degrees. Next Sunday looks partly sunny with some scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms possible as moisture moves in on a southwesterly wind flow. High temperatures next Sunday will be near 80 Degrees.
