Comfortable Humidity Values Expected Through Saturday; Conditions Turn Humid On Sunday With Afternoon Scattered Thunderstorms Across Western & Central Mass

For This Afternoon: A partly sunny afternoon is expected across the area. It will be quite comfortable with dew point temperatures falling into the low to mid 50s. Temperatures will be between 75 and 80 Degrees. Winds will be Northwest at 7 to 15 mph.

Tonight: An area of high pressure is expected to build over the region during tonight.

This means that clear skies can be expected throughout tonight with low temperatures between 55 and 60 Degrees. Winds will be Northwest at 5 to 10 mph.

Saturday: A beautiful Saturday is on tap across the area with lots of sunshine, warm temperatures and comfortable humidity values.

High temperatures will be between 80 to 85 Degrees. Dew point temperatures will be around 55 Degrees. Winds will be Southwest at 8 to 16 mph.

Sunday: A cold front is expected to move through the area during the late afternoon and evening hours bringing with it the threat for scattered thunderstorms.

A mixture of some sunshine and lots of clouds can be expected throughout the day on Sunday. It will be warm and humid with high temperatures around 80 Degrees and dew point temperatures around 70 Degrees.

As for the thunderstorm threat Sunday afternoon – Increasing moisture and an unstable air mass out ahead of the cold front will make for a favorable environment for thunderstorms. Also, weather forecast guidance seems to be hinting at the possibility for a couple of the storms to be strong to even severe.

At this point, it appears that scattered thunderstorms will move from northwest to southeast across the entire area between 4 pm and 8 pm. A couple of the thunderstorms may be on the strong side and be capable of producing wind gusts of up to 40-50 mph, torrential downpours and frequent lightning. It’s something that I will be watching closely and I’ll have updates as needed.

Monday Through Tuesday: A much cooler and much more comfortable air mass will move into the area for both Monday and Tuesday. In fact, temperatures on both Monday and Tuesday will be some 5 to 10 degrees below average.

Monday looks sunny with high temperatures between 70 and 75 Degrees. Dew point temperatures will be near 45 Degrees.

Tuesday also looks sunny with high temperatures between 70 and 75 Degrees. Dew point temperatures will be around 50 Degrees.

Wednesday Through Next Friday: Warmer and more humid weather looks to return during the second half of next week.

Wednesday looks partly sunny with high temperatures near 80 Degrees. Dew point temperatures will be around 60 Degrees.

Thursday is expected to be partly sunny & there may be a couple of late day thunderstorms possible. High temperatures will be between 80 and 85 Degrees. Dew point temperatures will be near 65 Degrees.

Next Friday looks partly sunny with high temperatures near 80 Degrees. Dew point temperatures will be between 60 and 65 Degrees.
