Blazing Heat With Oppressive & Stifling Humidity Through This Entire Weekend

For This Afternoon: Sunny skies are expected throughout this afternoon and it’ll be hot and humid. Temperatures will be between 90 and 95 Degrees with heat index readings of around 95 to 99 Degrees. Winds will be west at 5 to 10 mph. One thing to watch for around the very late afternoon hours is the very slight possibility for a brief shower or thunderstorm over Western Mass. Tonight: After a very slight possibility for a brief shower or thunderstorm this evening across some parts of the area (most areas stay dry), the remainder of tonight will be clear to partly cloudy. It will be warm and it will increasingly become more humid with dew point temperatures rising into the mid 60s. Low temperatures will be between 65 and 70 Degrees. Winds will be Southwest at 5 to 10 mph. Saturday: It looks like it’ll be even hotter and more humid on Saturday under sunny skies. High temperatures will be close to 95 Degrees with heat index readings of 95 to 100 Degrees thanks to dew point temperatures in the low to mid 60s. Winds will be west at 5 to 10 mph. Sunday: Sunday looks like it’s going to be downright miserable in terms of heat and humidity. Sunny skies are expected with high temperatures between 95 and 100 Degrees. Heat index readings are expected to be in the 105 to 110 Degree range due to dew point temperatures in the 70 to 75 Degree range. Winds will be Southwest at 10 to 20 mph. Monday: The weather, temperatures and humidity levels on Monday will depend on how quickly a frontal boundary will push through the region. On one hand, a quicker moving frontal boundary will mean widespread showers and embedded thunderstorms throughout the day with temperatures in the upper 70s to mid 80s with humid conditions. On the other hand, if that frontal boundary takes its time to push through, it could mean the potential for severe thunderstorms during the afternoon. Additionally, temperatures would end up being around 90 Degrees with very humid conditions. In looking at all of the data, unfortunately, it appears that the slower frontal boundary movement may end up being closer to reality. Because of this, I think that we will see some morning sunshine on Monday with the development of thunderstorms during the afternoon. Some of these thunderstorms could be strong to severe and it’ll be something to certainly keep an eye on. High temperatures will be near 90 Degrees. It will be quite humid on Monday with dew point temperatures around 70 Degrees. Tuesday Through Next Friday: FINALLY, some relief from the heat and humidity is expected beginning on Tuesday and lasting through the rest of next week. Tuesday is expected to be sunny to partly sunny with high temperatures near 85 Degrees. Much less humidity is expected on Tuesday with dew point temperatures in the upper 50s. Wednesday looks sunny to partly sunny with high temperatures near 85 Degrees. Thursday is expected to be partly sunny and it appears that there will be some scattered afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms as a frontal system moves through. High temperatures will be near 85 Degrees. Next Friday looks sunny to partly sunny with high temperatures between 80 and 85 Degrees.
