Another Round Of Showers Are Expected Friday Night; Some Much Colder Weather Is Expected On Tuesday Of Next Week Across Western & Central Mass

For The Rest Of This Afternoon: A mixture of some sunshine and lots of stratocumulus clouds can be expected throughout the rest of this afternoon. In addition, a passing shower or two can be expected through mid-afternoon. Given the very cold air aloft, don’t be surprised to see some sleet and even wet snowflakes mixed in with any rain showers. Also, it will continue to be windy for a few more hours before the winds decrease in velocity by late this afternoon.


Temperatures will be in the middle 40s. Winds will be West to Northwest at 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 30-35 mph through mid-afternoon. Winds then will decrease to 10 to 15 mph by late this afternoon.


Tonight: Clear skies are expected throughout tonight with low temperatures between 25 and 30 Degrees. Winds will be West at 6 to 12 mph.


Friday: An area of high pressure is expected to push to our east by afternoon as a frontal system rapidly approaches from the west.


Sunny to partly sunny skies are expected during the morning. Increasing clouds are then expected during the afternoon. High temperatures will be between 50 and 55 Degrees. Winds will be Southwest at 6 to 12 mph in the morning and Southwest at 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph in the afternoon.


Friday Night: That frontal system is expected to push through the area during Friday night..


Cloudy skies are expected throughout Friday night. While there will be showers around all night long, it appears that the most widespread showers will occur during the evening & the shower coverage should decrease during the after midnight hours.


Low temperatures will be near 45 Degrees. Winds will be Southwest at 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph.


This Weekend: An area of high pressure will briefly control the weather on Saturday before an area of low pressure tracks across the region during Sunday and Sunday night.


Saturday may begin with some leftover showers first thing in the morning & will be followed by a mixture of sunshine and clouds throughout the rest of the day. High temperatures near 60 Degrees. Winds will be West to Northwest at 10 to 15 mph.


Saturday night looks cloudy with low temperatures near 45 Degrees.


Sunday is expected to be cloudy and there will be widespread showers throughout the afternoon. These widespread showers are then expected to continue through Sunday night. High temperatures will be near 60 Degrees.


Monday: Monday looks to start out cloudy with leftover showers throughout the morning. During Monday afternoon, it appears that the showers will be done, however, it looks to remain cloudy. High temperatures will be near 50 Degrees.


Tuesday & Wednesday: Some much colder temperatures is expected on Tuesday under some gusty west winds. Skies throughout the day on Tuesday will feature a mixture of sunshine and clouds. Additionally, don’t be surprised to see a few passing snow flurries during the late morning and afternoon hours as there will be a very cold air mass aloft. High temperatures Tuesday will be in the upper 30s to low 40s.


Tuesday night looks partly cloudy with low temperatures between 25 and 30 Degrees.


Wednesday looks partly sunny and milder with high temperatures near 45 Degrees.
