For This Afternoon: A weak high pressure system will control our weather throughout this afternoon. This means that lots of sunshine can be expected this afternoon with temperatures near 65 Degrees. Winds this afternoon will be west at 5 mph. WooSox Home Game Forecast For This Afternoon (1:05 pm game): Lots of sunshine with temperatures near 65 Degrees and a 5 mph west wind will make for a very pleasant game at Polar Park. Tonight: That high pressure system will move to the east while a warm front begins to approach the area from the west. Skies this evening will be clear to partly cloudy with increasing clouds after midnight. Low temperatures tonight will be between 40 and 45 Degrees. Winds tonight will be southwest at 5 mph. Monday: That warm front is expected to push across the region during Monday. This means that Monday will be cloudy with periods of rain expected. High temperatures Monday will be between 50 and 55 Degrees. Winds on Monday will be southeast at 5 to 10 mph. Tuesday: A break in the rain is expected on Tuesday even though it looks cloudy and cool. High temperatures Tuesday will be between 55 and 60 Degrees. Winds on Tuesday will be East at 5 to 10 mph. Red Sox Home Game Forecast For Tuesday Evening (7:10 pm game): Bundle up, it looks cool and raw, but dry. Temperatures during the game will be in the upper 40s to near 50 Degrees. Winds during the game will be right off of the harbor at a speed of 5 to 10 mph. Wednesday: A wet day looks likely on Wednesday with rain expected throughout the day. It will be cool and raw with high temperatures of near 55 Degrees. Red Sox Home Game Forecast For Wednesday Evening (7:10 pm game): Bring the rain gear and don’t be surprised to see either a rain delay or Wednesday’s game postponed due to rain. Light to moderate rain is expected at Fenway throughout Wednesday evening with temperatures around 50 Degrees. Winds throughout Wednesday evening will be east-northeast at 5 to 10 mph. Thursday & Friday: We will be in-between weather systems on Thursday with a mixture of sunshine and clouds expected. High temperatures Thursday will be near 65 Degrees. The weather forecast for Friday looks more uncertain as an area of low pressure is expected to push across the Mid-Atlantic states. How far north this storm tracks will be crucial in determining whether Friday will feature some sunshine or whether it will be a rainy, cool day. At this point, I think that the most clouds will be south of the Mass Pike with partly sunny skies possible for Friday near and north of the Mass Pike. Any rain may remain just to our south during Friday. High temperatures Friday will be near 60 Degrees. Red Sox Home Game Forecasts For Thursday Afternoon (1:35 pm game) & Friday Evening (7:10 pm game): At this point, both games look good in terms of weather, although, we are going to have to keep an eye on the weather for Friday evening in case the rain shield with that storm system pushes further north than what is forecast right now.
