A Wet Week Of Weather Is Expected Across Western & Central Mass

For This Afternoon: An area of low pressure is expected to pass to the south and southeast of the Cape this afternoon. Scattered rain showers are expected to overspread the entire area by mid-afternoon with shower activity expected to persist through late this afternoon. Temperatures this afternoon will be near 50 Degrees. Winds this afternoon will be southeast at 5 to 10 mph. Tonight: That low pressure system is expected to head for Atlantic Canada. Rain showers are expected to continue through this evening with some of the rain changing to snow north of Route 2. Rain showers will come to an end around midnight with cloudy skies expected after midnight tonight. Low temperatures tonight will be near 35 Degrees. Winds tonight will be north at 5 to 10 mph. Monday: An area of high pressure will gradually build into the area during Monday. A mixture of sunshine and clouds is expected on Monday with high temperatures between 50 and 55 Degrees. Winds on Monday will be northwest at 10 to 20 mph. Tuesday: That high pressure system will push to the east on Tuesday while an area of low pressure pushes to the northeast into the Ohio Valley. Skies on Tuesday will start out sunny to partly sunny with increasing clouds expected during the afternoon. High temperatures on Tuesday will be between 55 and 60 Degrees. Winds on Tuesday will be southwest at 5 to 10 mph. Tuesday Night & Wednesday: An area of low pressure is expected to head for the Mid-Atlantic coast during Tuesday night and then push near the south coast of New England on Wednesday. Rain will overspread the area by midnight Tuesday night and then continue through the rest of the night Tuesday night and all day Wednesday. Low temperatures Tuesday night will be between 40 and 45 Degrees. High temperatures Wednesday will be between 45 and 50 Degrees. Thursday: Even more rain is expected throughout the day on Thursday as a frontal system pushes through the area. High temperatures Thursday will be between 50 and 55 Degrees. Friday: Unsettled weather looks likely on Friday with cloudy skies expected along with scattered showers throughout the day. High temperatures Friday will be near 60 Degrees. Next Weekend: Unsettled weather may persist through next weekend with lots of clouds expected on both Saturday and next Sunday along with scattered shower activity. High temperatures Saturday will be near 60 Degrees. High temperatures next Sunday will be between 55 and 60 Degrees.
