A Really Nice Weekend For Weather Will Be Followed By Very Hot & Dangerously Humid Conditions From Tuesday Through Friday Across Western & Central Mass

For This Afternoon: Plenty of sunshine can be expected this afternoon with temperatures between 75 and 80 Degrees. Humidity levels this afternoon will continue to drop leading to a very comfortable afternoon. Winds will be North at 10 to 20 mph.


Tonight: An area of high pressure moves right over our area tonight leading to clear skies and low temperatures between 47 and 51 Degrees. Winds will be North to Northwest at 5 to 10 mph.


Sunday: That high pressure system will remain in place over the area during Sunday.


This means that plenty of sunshine can be expected throughout the day on Sunday with high temperatures between 74 and 78 Degrees. Winds will be North at 5 to 10 mph in the morning and South at 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.


Monday: A mixture of sunshine and clouds can be expected during Monday with high temperatures between 80 and 85 Degrees. Winds will be Southwest at 10 to 20 mph.


Tuesday Through Friday: Very hot and humid weather will push into the region during Tuesday and will remain place right through Friday. The peak of the heat and humidity looks to be on Wednesday and Thursday.


Tuesday looks partly sunny with high temperatures of near 95 Degrees. Heat Index readings of near 100 Degrees can be expected during Tuesday afternoon.


Wednesday is expected to be partly sunny, very hot and dangerously humid. There may be a very isolated late day thunderstorm, but I think a majority of the area should stay dry. High temperatures will be around 95 Degrees with near 100 Degree high temperatures possible in the Connecticut River Valley. Heat index readings of 100 to 105 Degrees are expected during Wednesday afternoon.


Thursday looks to be a repeat of Wednesday with partly sunny skies, very hot and dangerously humid conditions expected. There may be a very isolated late day thunderstorm, but I think a majority of the area should stay dry. High temperatures will be around 95 Degrees with near 100 Degree high temperatures possible in the Connecticut River Valley. Heat index readings of 100 to 105 Degrees are expected during Thursday afternoon.


Friday is expected to be partly sunny, hot and humid. There may be a few very scattered thunderstorms late in the day. High temperatures will be between 90 and 95 Degrees with heat index readings of 95 to 100 Degrees.
