A Much Drier Week Is Expected Across Western & Central Mass

For This Afternoon: An area of high pressure will control the weather this afternoon with lots of sunshine expected. Temperatures will be near 75 Degrees. Winds will be West at 10 to 20 mph. Tonight: An area of low pressure is expected to cross the region later tonight bringing with it a round of rainfall. Skies will become cloudy this evening with widespread showers overspreading the entire area between 10 pm and midnight. Widespread showers are then expected to continue through the after midnight hours of tonight before coming to an end by dawn Monday morning. Total rainfall amounts tonight will average around one quarter of an inch or so. Low temperatures will be between 50 and 55 Degrees. Winds will be West at 5 to 10 mph. Monday: Any early morning clouds will give way to increasing amounts of sunshine by mid to late morning. Lots of sunshine is then expected during the afternoon hours. High temperatures will be between 70 and 75 Degrees. Winds will be Northwest at 10 to 20 mph. Tuesday: An area of low pressure is expected to track to the south of New England during Tuesday. This low pressure system should pass far enough south of the area to prevent any rain from affecting the area. Instead, we should see a mixture of sunshine and clouds during the day on Tuesday with high temperatures near 65 Degrees. Winds will be North at 5 to 10 mph. Wednesday Through Friday: A stretch of dry weather is expected for the middle and later parts of this coming week as a big high pressure system settles over the area. Wednesday is expected to be sunny to partly sunny with high temperatures between 65 and 70 Degrees. Thursday looks sunny with high temperatures near 75 Degrees. Friday is expected to be partly sunny with high temperatures between 75 and 80 Degrees. Outlook For Next Weekend: Current indications point to that dry weather should persist through next weekend. Saturday looks partly sunny with high temperatures between 75 and 80 Degrees. Next Sunday looks partly sunny with high temperatures between 70 and 75 Degrees.
