For The Rest Of Today: Sunshine is expected for most of the rest of the day, however, some high to mid level clouds will begin to filter out the sun by about mid-afternoon. High temperatures this afternoon will be near 25 Degrees. Tonight: That high pressure system will push to the east tonight. Meanwhile, a surface trough of low pressure extending from a developing low pressure system near the South Carolina coast will push towards our area. Skies will become cloudy by midnight tonight. Low temperatures tonight will be between 15 and 20 Degrees. Monday Through Tuesday: An area of low pressure is expected to take shape near the North and South Carolina coast during Monday while a surface trough of low pressure extending out from that low pressure center pushes northward. That surface low pressure system is expected to track northeastward and pass to the east of the Cape by Tuesday morning. Precipitation in the form of light snow is expected to overspread Western and Central Mass during Monday afternoon. Some rain will probably mix in with the snow at times across areas south of the Mass Pike during Monday afternoon. A change to all rain is expected from south to north during Monday evening with areas near and north of Route 2 the last to changeover to rain around midnight or so. The rain is expected to continue into Tuesday morning before ending around mid to late morning or so. Overall, it appears that snow amounts Monday afternoon and Monday evening will average around one inch across most of the area. The exception will be across areas north of Route 2 where 1 to 2 inches of snow accumulation is expected. High temperatures Monday will be between 35 and 40 Degrees. Temperatures on Monday night will be around 35 Degrees. High temperatures Tuesday will be near 40 Degrees. Wednesday Through Saturday: A stretch of quiet weather is finally expected for the middle and end of next week into next weekend. Wednesday is expected to be partly sunny with high temperatures near 40 Degrees. Generally partly sunny skies are expected on Thursday, however, there may be some late afternoon and evening scattered rain and snow showers as a frontal boundary moves through. High temperatures Thursday will be between 40 and 45 Degrees. A sunny to partly sunny day is expected on Friday with high temperatures near 40 Degrees. Saturday is expected to be sunny to partly sunny with high temperatures near 40 Degrees.
