A Few Thunderstorms Are Possible This Afternoon Across Western & Central Mass

Some scattered thunderstorms forming across eastern New York State are expected to make their way into our area during this afternoon. Additionally, building cumulus clouds over the Berkshires will likely become some scattered thunderstorms over the next couple of hours or so.

I suspect that there may be some isolated thunderstorms at first during the early afternoon hours, mostly over Western Mass. These thunderstorms will then become more scattered in coverage by late this afternoon and continue into this evening with these storms occurring across much of Western and Central Mass.

It is possible that a couple of the thunderstorms might be on the strong side & be capable of producing up to 40-50 mph wind gusts, torrential downpours and lightning.

More likely than not, most areas across Western and Central Mass should stay relatively dry this afternoon and this evening, but the thunderstorms that do move through will affect a few areas across the region.

Temperatures this afternoon will be between 85 and 90 Degrees. Dew point temperatures will be around 70 Degrees.

Thursday: I do think that the coverage of showers and thunderstorms during Thursday afternoon should be slightly greater with scattered showers and thunderstorms expected during Thursday afternoon into early Thursday evening. High temperatures will be around 85 Degrees. Dew point temperatures will be between 65 and 70 Degrees.

Friday: More comfortable weather can be expected on Friday with sunny to partly sunny skies expected. High temperatures will be near 80 Degrees with dew point temperatures around 55 Degrees.

This Weekend: Partly sunny skies can be expected on both Saturday and Sunday. High temperatures Saturday will be between 80 and 85 Degrees with dew point temperatures around 60 Degrees. High temperatures on Sunday will be around 85 Degrees Dew point temperatures on Sunday will be around 65 Degrees.
