1 To 2 Inches Of Rain Is Is Expected From Late Thursday Afternoon To Friday Morning Across Western & Central Mass

For The Rest Of This Afternoon: An east to northeast wind flow will be in place across the region throughout the rest of this afternoon.


This means that cloudy skies can be expected throughout the rest of this afternoon. Temperatures will be around 50 Degrees. Winds will be Northeast at 5 to 10 mph.


Tonight: Cloudy skies are expected throughout tonight. In addition, an isolated shower or two is possible across mainly Western Mass during the late night hours.


Low temperatures will be around 40 Degrees. Winds will be East to Northeast at 5 to 10 mph.


Thursday & Thursday Night: An area of low pressure is expected to track from the Ohio Valley through western Pennsylvania and western New York State during Thursday and Thursday night. At the same time this is occurring, there is the possibility of a secondary low pressure system forming near the New England coastline during Thursday evening.


This entire weather system is likely to bring rain to the entire area starting during the late afternoon hours of Thursday and continuing through all of Thursday night. The rain is likely to be moderate to heavy in intensity at times. All-in-all, it appears that rainfall totals will average between 1 and 2 inches across all of Western and Central Mass. Some flooding in areas of poor drainage and low-lying areas is possible, especially where fallen leaves have clogged some storm drains.


Thursday looks cloudy and there may be a few showers around during the morning into the early afternoon hours. Steady rain will begin across the entire area between about 5 pm and 8 pm. High temperatures will be between 50 and 55 Degrees. Winds will be East at 10 to 20 mph.


Rain is expected throughout Thursday night and the rain will be moderate to heavy at times. Low temperatures will be near 45 Degrees. Winds will be East to Northeast at 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.


Halloween: It looks like we might be able to squeak out some dry weather for Trick or Treaters on Halloween afternoon and evening. That said, it looks like it will be quite windy.


Rain is expected to end across the entire area from south to north around sunrise Friday morning.


The rest of the day on Friday looks cloudy and it will be quite windy. It is possible that an isolated passing shower or two is possible from time to time on Friday, but most areas should stay dry. High temperatures will be near 55 Degrees. Winds will be West at 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 35 mph.


Friday night is expected to be generally mostly cloudy and it will be quite windy throughout the night. Low temperatures will be between 35 and 40 Degrees. Winds will be West at 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 40 mph.


This Weekend: Saturday looks to feature a mixture of sunshine and clouds and it will be windy. High temperatures will be between 50 and 55 Degrees. West winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 30-35 mph are expected throughout the day.


Saturday night looks clear to partly sunny with low temperatures near 30 Degrees.


Sunday is expected to be sunny and much less windy. High temperatures will be near 50 Degrees.
