Two Nights Of Frost & Freeze Conditions Are Expected Across Western & Central Mass

We have two nights ahead of us that will definitely see not only a frost, but very likely a widespread hard freeze. Cover and protect all of those susceptible plants and be sure to protect those fruit trees as they will likely be damaged if not protected. Tonight: Clear skies are expected tonight with low temperatures between 25 and 30 Degrees. Again, a frost and a hard freeze is expected across the entire area.

Thursday: Lots of sunshine can be expected on Thursday with high temperatures between 50 and 55 Degrees.

Thursday Night: Another clear night with widespread frost and a hard freeze is expected on Thursday night. Low temperatures will be between 28 and 33 Degrees.

Friday looks to be a sunny day with high temperatures between 55 and 60 Degrees.

Friday night looks clear with scattered areas of frost. Low temperatures will be near 35 Degrees except near 30 Degrees in normally colder locations.

Saturday looks to be a sunny day with high temperatures between 60 and 65 Degrees.

Next chance for some scattered showers looks to be on Sunday.

Looking even further ahead, I wouldn't plant anything quite yet as there's the possibility of another round of freezing temperatures during the first week of May. My recommendation would be to wait a couple of weeks, if you can.

Additionally, very long range data seems to point towards drier than average conditions through all of May along with near average temperatures. Good news as it'll give the ground a breather and a chance to dry out.
