Widespread Showers Expected The Rest Of Today; Nice Weather For Monday

For The Rest Of Today: A cold front will slowly push southward from northern New England the rest of today. This frontal boundary will reach northern Mass by late this afternoon.

I expect fairly widespread showers throughout the rest of today with some locally heavy downpours possible, especially along and north of the Mass Pike.

High temperatures today will be between 70 and 73 Degrees.

Tonight: Some shower activity will persist this evening before ending around midnight. Low temperatures tonight will be between 55 and 60 Degrees.

Monday: An area of high pressure will move across northern New England during Monday. This means that a mixture of sunshine and clouds can be expected on Monday with high temperatures between 75 and 80 Degrees.

Tuesday: Another round of showers is expected from late Monday night into Tuesday. Right now, it appears that an area of low pressure will track near the south coast of New England and this will cause widespread showers from late Monday night through Tuesday morning. In fact, a steady rain is possible for a time on Tuesday morning.

The shower activity should become more scattered in nature during Tuesday afternoon.

High temperatures Tuesday will be between 70 and 75 Degrees.

Wednesday Through Friday: On and off showers are expected at times throughout Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. One thing that we are going to have to watch for is the possibility for a pretty robust low pressure system to cross southern New England Thursday night which could bring locally heavy rainfall to the area.

High temperatures on Wednesday and Thursday will be around 75 Degrees. High temperatures Friday will be near 70 Degrees.

Next Weekend: Things look to dry out for Saturday with a mixture of sun and clouds currently expected. High temperatures Saturday will be near 75 Degrees.

Next Sunday looks sunny to partly sunny with high temperatures near 80 Degrees.
