Weekend Weather Forecast For Western & Central Mass

Tonight: An area of high pressure is expected to push off of the New England coast tonight as a low pressure system moves northeastward from the Tennessee and Ohio Valleys. We will see an increase in clouds tonight and some light snow may begin across Western Mass by sunrise Saturday morning. Low temperatures tonight will be near 25 Degrees. Saturday: That low pressure system will move across central New England during the day on Saturday. At this time, it appears that we will see it snow for a while on Saturday morning before it changes to sleet and then rain by midday Saturday. Snow amounts on Saturday morning will be quite light with most areas receiving a dusting. The exception may be across the Berkshires and along and north of Route 2 where around one inch of snow accumulation may occur. During Saturday afternoon, some scattered rain showers are expected with high temperatures between 40 and 45 Degrees. Saturday Night: A weak high pressure system will build in on Saturday night. This means that any leftover rain showers will end by sunset Saturday with skies remaining generally cloudy throughout Saturday night. Low temperatures Saturday night will be near 30 Degrees. Sunday & Sunday Night: Yet another low pressure system and its associated frontal system will push through New England on Sunday. This means that skies on Sunday will be cloudy and rain will move into Western and Central Mass by midday Sunday with the rain continuing through Sunday afternoon and Sunday evening before ending late Sunday night. High temperatures on Sunday will be near 45 Degrees. Low temperatures on Sunday night will be between 35 and 40 Degrees. Monday: A partly sunny day is expected on Monday with high temperatures between 45 and 50 Degrees. Tuesday: A trough of low pressure will pass through our area late Monday night and Tuesday morning. This trough may contain just enough energy and moisture to produce some snow shower activity late Monday night and Tuesday morning. Behind this trough, a shot of very cold air will move into the area during the day Tuesday. High temperatures on Tuesday will be between 30 and 35 Degrees. Wednesday Through Friday: Dry weather with slowly warming temperatures are expected for the second half of next week. After a quite cold Tuesday night with low temperatures in the teens, Wednesday is expected to be a sunny day with high temperatures between 40 and 45 Degrees. Thursday will be partly sunny with high temperatures near 45 Degrees. Next Friday is expected to be partly sunny with high temperatures near 45 Degrees.
