Very Strong Winds Are Expected On Monday Afternoon Across Western & Central Mass

Happy Easter!! Sunshine will be filtered through increasing high clouds for the Rest Of This Afternoon. Temperatures this afternoon will be in the upper 50s to low 60s. South winds will gust up to 30 mph at times. Skies will become cloudy this evening with widespread showers moving in well after midnight Tonight. Low temperatures tonight will be near 50 Degrees. Monday: Strong To Very Strong Winds Are Expected On Monday Afternoon Across Western & Central Mass. Heavy Rainfall, Thunderstorms & The Possibility Of Some Flooding Is Also Expected On Monday. Strong Wind Threat: South winds are expected to gust up to 40 to 50 mph during the morning and then gust up to 60 to possibly even 70 mph during the afternoon. These very strong wind gusts during Monday afternoon will have the capability of bringing down tree limbs, small trees & power lines across the entire area with power outages likely. Heavy Rain & Thunderstorms: Heavy showers are expected throughout Monday morning & there is the possibility for flooding across the entire area. Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are expected from late Monday morning through Monday afternoon. Any thunderstorm activity will have the capability of pulling some very strong winds aloft to the surface & thus wind damage is possible from any thunderstorm activity. The cold front with this very strong storm system will move through during Monday evening & much drier air will move in during Monday night & Tuesday.
