I probably will not be able to post a full forecast today. We have been up for the second night in a row with a sick dog & will be heading to our veterinarian in the morning.
Anyways, I wanted to give you an update on the weekend forecast for Western and Central Mass.
Periods of rain are still expected for today (Friday), tonight and Saturday. That part of the forecast has not changed.
What has changed is the forecast for Saturday night and Sunday. It is looking MUCH, MUCH less likely now that a low pressure system near the south coast of New England will be able to fully develop. This means that any light rain that persists Saturday night probably will either not change to snow at all or change to a brief period of light snow with light accumulations.
This change in the forecast is not unexpected & in fact was one of the other possible scenarios I had laid out since this is a uncertain forecast.
With all of that said, I'm still keeping an eye on the forecast & will update you as needed.
