For This Afternoon: The main story for this afternoon will be showers from time to time. In addition, the atmosphere may become unstable enough to lead to a thunderstorm or two late this afternoon and this evening.
High temperatures this afternoon will be in the upper 60s.
Tonight: Any leftover showers or very isolated thunderstorms will end this evening with skies expected to become clear after midnight tonight. Low temperatures tonight will be between 45 and 50 Degrees.
Saturday: Plenty of sunshine is expected on Saturday with high temperatures between 70 and 75 Degrees.
Sunday: After some scattered shower activity late Saturday night and early Sunday morning, I think that we will see a mixture of sun and clouds from late Sunday morning through Sunday afternoon. High temperatures Sunday will be between 70 and 75 Degrees.
Monday: It looks like the first 80-plus degree temperatures of the year can be expected on Monday. In addition, it may be somewhat humid as well on Monday. The warm air mass on Monday will be accompanied by an unstable air mass. Because of this, we are going to have to really keep an eye on the strength of the expected thunderstorm activity Monday afternoon and Monday evening.
It is expected that a cold front will push through southern New England later Monday afternoon and Monday evening. This front will be accompanied by shower and thunderstorm activity. The unstable air mass may combine with some strong winds in the mid and upper levels of the atmosphere leading to the possibility of a couple of strong thunderstorms capable of producing strong wind gusts. This possible threat is still a few days away, but it is something to definitely keep an eye on.
High temperatures Monday will be around 80 Degrees.
Tuesday Through Wednesday: Sunny to partly sunny skies are expected on both Tuesday and Wednesday as high pressure builds in behind Monday’s cold front. High temperatures Tuesday and Wednesday will be between 70 and 75 Degrees.
