For The Rest Of Today: A line of heavy showers with perhaps a thunderstorm or two, associated with a cold front, will push across Western and Central Mass starting just before midday today and continuing through this afternoon. In addition, gusty south winds are expected into early this afternoon, which will shift to a westerly direction during the second half of the afternoon. Wind gusts of up to 30 to 40 mph are expected.
Tonight: That cold front will move offshore of southern New England this evening. This means that skies will become partly cloudy this evening with clear to partly cloudy skies expected after midnight tonight. In addition, a snow shower or two is possible this evening across the Berkshires.
Low temperatures tonight will be between 28 and 32 Degrees. Be aware that any water or moisture left over from this afternoon’s rainfall will likely freeze up late tonight into early Monday morning leading to possible icy conditions on roads, walkways & parking lots.
Monday: A sunny to partly sunny and windy day is expected on Monday. High temperatures Monday will be between 40 and 45 Degrees. West to northwest winds of 15 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph are expected on Monday.
Tuesday: Sunny to partly sunny skies are expected on Tuesday with high temperatures between 44 and 48 Degrees.
Tuesday Night & Wednesday: I am closely watching a coastal storm that will pass near southern New England later Tuesday night into Wednesday. It currently looks quite possible that this storm will stay far enough offshore to not significantly impact our weather late Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. With that said, any shifts in the storm track towards New England could mean a period of a snow and rain late Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
For now though, skies are expected to be cloudy on Tuesday night into Wednesday morning with skies become partly sunny by Wednesday afternoon. Low temperatures Tuesday night will be near 30 Degrees. High temperatures Wednesday will be between 50 and 55 Degrees.
Thursday Through Friday: Thursday is expected to be a sunny to partly sunny day with high temperatures near 50 Degrees.
Another storm system will move across New England later Thursday night through Friday. Precipitation with this storm may start out as some snow after midnight Thursday night, but will quickly change to rain during Friday morning. Rain is then expected to continue through Friday afternoon before ending on Friday night.
