For The Rest Of Today: An area of low pressure will move into southern Ontario by later today which will pull a warm front northward into parts of southern New England.
This means that widespread showers are expected throughout the rest of today and the rain will be heavy at times. In addition, a rumble or two of thunder is possible in some of the heavier rain bands today.
High temperatures this afternoon will be between 54 and 59 Degrees.
Tonight: Widespread showers with heavy rain at times along with a thunderstorm or two is expected tonight as a new area of low pressure forms near Cape Cod. Rainfall totals today through tonight are expected to range from one half of an inch (0.50) to one inch (1.00) across Western Mass with 1 to 1.50 inches of rain expected across Central Mass. This will lead to increased rises on an already swollen Connecticut River and sharp rises in water levels on the smaller rivers and streams across Western and Central Mass.
Low temperatures tonight will be between 44 and 49 Degrees.
Saturday: A cold front and any leftover showers will end during early Saturday morning with perhaps some brief partly sunny skies possible late Saturday morning. By Saturday afternoon, however, skies will become cloudy once again and there may be a brief shower or two.
High temperatures Saturday will be between 50 and 55 Degrees.
Sunday & Sunday Night: A new area of low pressure from the Great Lakes across southern New England during Sunday afternoon and Sunday evening.
Rain is expected to overspread Western and Central Mass Sunday afternoon and continue through Sunday evening before ending after midnight Sunday night.
High temperatures Sunday will be in the low 50s. Low temperatures Sunday night will be between 35 and 40 Degrees.
Turning To Next Week: Dry weather is expected on Monday with partly sunny skies expected and high temperatures between 55 and 60 Degrees.
Rain is expected on Tuesday with high temperatures near 55 Degrees.
Partly sunny skies are expected on Wednesday with high temperatures near 60 Degrees.
Another round of rain is expected for Thursday and Friday of next week with temperatures in the mid 50s to near 60 Degrees.
