Rain Continues This Afternoon Before Ending Early This Evening; It'll Be Quite Windy Tonight & Sun

Wow, it is absolutely pouring out there right now here in Sturbridge!!

Moderate to heavy rain is expected to continue across all of Central Mass for the next several hours before it lightens up in intensity by about 4-5 pm this afternoon. In addition, a rumble or two of thunder is also possible across Central Mass. This heavy rain is expected to lead to ponding on roads, highways and underpasses with localized flooding possible in poor drainage areas.

The rain will come to an end across Central Mass by early this evening.

For Western Mass, much more sporadic light rain is expected across the Berkshires with a steady light to moderate rain expected across areas that are along and east of I-91. This rain will come to an end across much of Western Mass by late this afternoon.

Once the rain ends across the region, it is expected to be quite windy tonight and all day Sunday across the entire area. Winds tonight will be West to Northwest at 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 40-45 mph. Winds during the day on Sunday will be West to Northwest at 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 35-40 mph.

Skies during the day on Sunday will feature a mixture of sunshine and clouds with perhaps a very isolated shower or two during the afternoon. High temperatures Sunday will be between 50 and 55 Degrees.
