For Tonight: Clear skies are expected for this evening with skies becoming partly cloudy after midnight. Low temperatures will be between 20 and 25 Degrees. Winds will be Southwest at 5 to 10 mph. Sunday: An increase in clouds is expected during the day on Sunday as a low pressure system moves off the North Carolina and Mid-Atlantic coastline. It is expected that this storm system will stay too far east of our area to give us any sort of precipitation. High temperatures will be between 45 and 50 Degrees. Winds will be Southwest at 5 to 10 mph. Sunday Night and Monday: As I already mentioned, it is expected that a low pressure system will track well south and east of Nantucket during Sunday night and Monday. Generally cloudy skies are expected on Sunday night, however, some breaks in the clouds are expected from time to time. Low temperatures will be between 30 and 35 Degrees. Winds will be East to Northeast at 5 to 10 mph in the evening and Northeast at 10 to 20 mph after midnight. Monday looks like it’ll feature a mixture of some sunshine and lots of clouds. High temperatures will be near 40 Degrees. Winds will be Northeast at 10 to 20 mph. Monday Night: A piece of atmospheric energy is expected to cross the region during Monday night. It looks possible that this system will bring with it some snow shower activity between about 10 pm and 3 am or so. Any accumulations of snow should be less than one half of an inch or so. Low temperatures will be between 25 and 30 Degrees. Tuesday: An area of high pressure is expected to build into the region during Tuesday bringing with it partly sunny skies. High temperatures will be near 45 Degrees. Wednesday: That high pressure system is expected to push to the east as a strong storm system moves into the central United States. This means that a mild southwesterly wind flow will set up across the region on Wednesday. This means that Wednesday will be partly sunny and there could be some afternoon scattered rain showers. High temperatures will be between 50 and 55 Degrees. Thursday & Friday: That strong low pressure system will move into the upper Great Lakes region on Thursday before heading into Ontario and Quebec provinces on Friday. The track of this storm system is such that it will cause some very mild weather to occur on Thursday and Friday. This means that record high temperatures are quite possible on both Thursday and Friday. In addition, it’s expected that it could actually become kind of humid on Thursday into Friday. At the same time this is occurring, it is expected that a cold front will sweep across the region during the day on Friday. Thursday looks partly sunny with record high temperatures of around 65 Degrees. Widespread showers with windy conditions are expected on Friday as that cold front sweeps across the region. Near record high temperatures of 55 to 60 Degrees are expected on Friday.
