Mild Weather Is Expected Through Much Of Next Week Across Western & Central Mass

For Tonight: A southwesterly wind flow will bring another mild night to the area. Skies tonight will be cloudy and there will be areas of fog around after midnight. Low temperatures will be between 40 and 45 Degrees. Winds will be Southwest at 8 to 16 mph. New Year’s Eve: An area of low pressure and its associated frontal boundary will slowly cross the area during the late afternoon and night time hours of Saturday. This means that any First Night activities will be quite wet, but mild. During the day on Saturday, skies will be cloudy and rain will overspread the region during the mid and late afternoon hours. High temperatures will be near 55 Degrees. Winds will be Southwest at 10 to 20 mph. Low clouds, fog and rain is expected throughout Saturday night across the region. The rain will be heavy at times and a good soaking of rain looks likely. Low temperatures Saturday night will be between 45 and 50 Degrees. Winds will be Southwest at 5 to 10 mph. New Year’s Day: It looks like that low pressure system and its frontal boundary will move away from the region during Sunday. Any leftover rain should be done by sunrise Sunday morning with the daytime hours expected to feature a mixture of sunshine and clouds. High temperatures Sunday will be between 50 and 55 Degrees. Winds will be West at 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Next Week’s Weather Outlook: A mild weather pattern looks to persist across the region throughout next week with above average temperatures expected. Monday looks partly sunny with high temperatures between 45 and 50 Degrees. A frontal system is expected to slowly cross the region during Tuesday into Wednesday bringing with it a couple of chances of rainfall. Tuesday is expected to be cloudy with some scattered shower activity expected late morning into the afternoon hours. High temperatures will be between 50 and 55 Degrees. Shower activity is likely to continue through Wednesday with high temperatures near 60 Degrees. Once that frontal system moves through, it looks to introduce some colder weather into the area for late next week. Thursday looks cloudy and there may be some scattered shower activity around. High temperatures will be between 45 and 50 Degrees.
