For The Rest Of Today: A mild and rather humid air mass has set up across Southern New England. A frontal boundary, which will be responsible for widespread significant severe weather across the Mid-Atlantic states & Southeastern United States, will remain to our west today.
This means that skies for the rest of today will be cloudy and there may be some very widely scattered showers this afternoon. High temperatures this afternoon will be near 70 Degrees and it will be humid. In addition, it will be windy the rest of today with southwest winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 35 mph.
Heavy Rain At Times Tonight Through Saturday: That frontal boundary will very slowly move eastward tonight through Saturday and will push into western Mass by Saturday afternoon. This means that a band of showers with heavy rainfall will take its time moving into southern New England.
This means that scattered showers are expected this evening with widespread showers with heavy rain moving into Western Mass very late tonight and Saturday morning. This heavy rainfall will remain in place across Western Mass throughout a good part of Saturday before ending later Saturday afternoon. Across Central Mass, widespread showers with heavy rain will move in late Saturday morning or early Saturday afternoon and continue into Saturday evening. In addition, isolated thunderstorms are a possibility on Saturday across Western and Central Mass.
Rainfall amounts tonight through Saturday will average 1 to 2 inches with locally higher amounts possible, especially across Western Mass. This heavy rainfall will result in urban and poor drainage flooding. In addition, the heavy rainfall will exacerbate river flooding along the Connecticut River and may also cause rises in some of the smaller rivers and streams.
It will continue to be humid tonight and Saturday with low temperatures tonight in the 60 to 65 Degree range and high temperatures Saturday around 65 Degrees.
Saturday Night Through Easter Sunday: Scattered showers are expected to continue throughout Saturday night and Easter Sunday morning before ending during Sunday afternoon. Low temperatures Saturday night will be between 50 and 55 Degrees. High temperatures Easter Sunday will be near 65 Degrees.
Monday Through Tuesday: The weather looks to remain unsettled through Monday into possibly Tuesday as an upper level low pressure system remains stationary over our area and sends pieces of energy across southern New England.

Tuesday is expected to be mostly cloudy, however, it may stay dry most of the day. High temperatures Tuesday will be near 70 Degrees.
A cold front is expected to push across the area on Tuesday evening bringing the risk for some scattered showers and possibly a thunderstorm.
