Fire Weather Warning For All Of Western & Central Mass For The Rest Of Today Into Early This Evening

A Fire Weather Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service for all of Western and Central Mass for the rest of today into this evening. The combination of gusty west winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 35-40 mph and very low humidity will lead to conditions that are extremely favorable for brush fires, grass fires and woods fires. This means that any fires that start will spread very rapidly and be extremely difficult to extinguish. Bottom line is that if you were planning on burning any brush, dead tree limbs and other materials in your fire pit - DON'T!! More than likely, there are burn bans in effect across the region due to the fire weather warning.
