Skies tonight will be partly cloudy with low temperatures between 25 and 30 Degrees. Winds will be Southwest at 10 to 20 mph. Thursday: The combination of a southwesterly wind flow and lots of sunshine will help to push high temperatures temperatures to 45 to 50 Degrees. Winds will be Southwest at 8 to 16 mph. Thursday Night: Clear to partly cloudy skies are expected with low temperatures near 35 Degrees. Winds will be Southwest at 5 to 10 mph. Friday: A southwesterly wind flow will continue to be in place during Friday. Skies will be sunny to partly sunny with high temperatures between 50 and 55 Degrees. New Year’s Eve & New Year’s Day: An area of low pressure is expected to head northeastward and pass across western New York State on Saturday night and then across northern New England during Sunday. The air mass with this storm system is expected to be quite mild and thus the precipitation with this system will be all rain. A good part of the day on New Year’s Eve will be dry, but cloudy. Rain looks to overspread the region during the very late afternoon hours and early evening hours. High temperatures will be between 50 and 55 Degrees. Rain is expected throughout Saturday night with rainfall amounts somewhere between one half of an inch (0.50”) and one inch (1.00”) expected. Temperatures will hover near 50 Degrees. New Year’s Day looks unusually very mild with high temperatures between 50 and 55 Degrees. Rain looks to continue through the morning before coming to an end during the afternoon. Next Week’s Weather Outlook: It looks like the region will be in a mild weather pattern for much of next week with rain expected during the middle part of the week. For those of you that are hoping and wishing for snow – No snow is currently expected for next week and in fact, we may have to wait until towards the middle of January before we get into a pattern that gives us snow. Don’t give up hope though, the pattern may bear fruit in terms of snowfall as we get into the second half of January. Monday looks sunny with high temperatures near 45 Degrees. Tuesday looks partly sunny with high temperatures between 50 and 55 Degrees. Next Wednesday looks cloudy and there looks to be rain around, as well. High temperatures will be between 55 and 60 Degrees.
