This Afternoon Through Tonight: An area of high pressure will continue to control our weather this afternoon through tonight. Lots of sunshine is expected for this afternoon and it will continue to be cold. Temperatures this afternoon will be around 20 Degrees. Clear skies and bitter cold temperatures are expected tonight with low temperatures near Zero. Sunday: High pressure continues to control our weather for Sunday. Lots of sunshine is expected in the morning, however, there will be an increase in clouds during the afternoon. High temperatures Sunday will be near 25 Degrees. Long-Duration Winter Storm Expected From Monday Afternoon To Tuesday Night: An area of low pressure is expected to form near the Virginia coast on Monday morning and head slowly northeastward reaching near Nantucket late Monday night and Tuesday morning. This storm is expected to hang near the New England coast into Tuesday night and Wednesday. This means that a long-duration snowfall is expected across Western and Central Mass beginning on Monday afternoon and continuing until Tuesday night. It should be noted though that the heaviest snowfall is expected to occur from late Monday afternoon to Tuesday morning when most of the snowfall will accumulate. Much lighter snow is then expected during Tuesday afternoon and Tuesday night before it ends Wednesday morning. Here Is My Thinking As Of Right Now: Snow will begin across Western and Central Mass by early Monday afternoon. A period of moderate to heavy snow is then expected from late Monday afternoon through Monday night into Tuesday morning, especially across Central Mass. Light snow is then expected during Tuesday afternoon and Tuesday night with the snow finally coming to an end during Wednesday morning. Our forecast snow total map is attached to this post.
